Coasters
Publication
August 2008
Ahh,
Central Florida
in August. Flip flops are melting to the pavement, air
conditioners are struggling to keep things bearable and the only
relief comes from severe thunderstorms. Fortunately, the beer at
Coasters is a chilly 36-degrees. The food’s pretty darn good, too.
More good news…football season’s right around the corner! College
football starts Saturday August 30, followed by NFL kickoff the
following week. We’ve got a few other noteworthy events on the
horizon, too…
Beer Tasting II – Saturday, August 23
2pm - 6pm
Our beer tasting last month was a blast. About 40 people stopped
in to try 70 different beers. We sampled all of our 37 taps, and
opened up about half of our bottles. If we didn’t open up a bottle
that you’ve been dying to try, don’t despair. On Saturday, August
23rd, we’re doing it again, and this time we’re opening
up the other half of our bottles.
Here’s how it works: Buy 12 tickets for $20 (or $2 each) and turn
in a ticket at the bar to receive a 4.5oz sample of any of the
beers we’re sampling. Tickets can be bought at Coasters on the day
of the event. There’s no need to RSVP, but we will be wrapping up
at 6pm, so don’t show up too late!

Live Trivia This Monday @ 7pm!
We’re heading into the home stretch of Coasters’ inaugural 12-week
season of Pubstumper Trivia. Thanks to all that have made it part
of your Monday night agenda, and hopefully you’re having as much
fun as we are. This coming week is week 10 of the 12 week season,
and Monday Night Trivia will be changing going into football
season – we haven’t worked out the details yet, but it will most
likely be something football-related leading up to
Monday Night Football. Stay
tuned for details.
Anyway, If you’ve never joined us, there’s still time to stop in
for our regular trivia. It’s free to play, and the top three
teams from each week wins Coasters Gift Certificates: 1st place
wins $30, 2nd place gets $20 and third place walks away
with $10 in gift certificates.
Trivia Teams can log into the
PubStumpers Web Site
for their current points and league standings.
130 Beers and Still Counting…
The beer selection at Coasters changes more than Bret Favre’s
plans with the Packers. We’re close to unveiling Brooklyn
Brewmaster Reserve Collection’s next release.
Brooklyn Grand
Cru is a Belgian Strong Pale Ale brewed with
spices. Extremely limited in its release, this is an 8% ABV brew
that’s getting outstanding reviews, and you’ll only find it
available in
Brevard County
at Coasters Pub. We’ve also tapped a keg of
Rogue
Chocolate Stout.
New bottled beers include
Westmalle
Trapist Dubble and
Triple,
Weyerbacher
Double Simcoe IPA and
Radeberger
Pilsner, among others.
The full beer list can be found at

Buy a Shirt So We Don't Lose Ours
Coasters T-shirts are at the printer and should be available for
sale in the next couple weeks. We'll have a variety of colors and
sizes in both Mens and Womens, all reasonably priced and
completely stainproof! OK, they're not stainproof, but they'll
make any stain look good on you. Stay tuned for details!
That’s all for this installment of Coasters Publication. We’ll see
you on your next visit!
